WHY WE WANT YOU TO B RICH?
![]() |

With
this new book, the age-old saying of: "Give a man a fish and you feed
him for a day. Teach him to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime," is
explored as Trump and Kiyosaki teach you what they believe you need to know
to be rich.
They
each could have written a book on the subject, but they chose instead to
write a book together because of their shared passion for education and their
desire to bring emphasis to the importance of strong financial skills and
understanding.
Money
alone won't solve the problems we face. In referencing the need to
"teach people to fish" and preparing them to create solutions to
the challenges we face as a nation, versus simply giving people fish and
keeping them dependent upon others for their sustenance – Donald and Robert
focus on why and how people can take action in their lives and contribute to
solutions as opposed to magnifying the problems.

Donald
J. Trump is the very definition of the American success story, continually
setting the standards of excellence while expanding his interests in real
estate, gaming, sports and entertainment. He is a graduate of the Wharton
School of Finance and started his business career in an office he shared with
his father.
In
New York City, the Trump signature is synonymous with the most prestigious of
addresses, among them the world-renowned Fifth Avenue skyscraper, Trump
Tower, the Trump International Hotel & Tower, voted the best US Hotel by
Conde Nast Traveler, Trump World Tower at the United Nations Plaza, 40 Wall
Street, and Trump Park Avenue. Besides New York, he is involved in developing
properties across the nation, with projects in Chicago, Las Vegas, Miami,
Atlantic City, Los Angeles, and Palm Beach. Mr. Trump’s portfolio also
includes four award-winning golf courses in New York, New Jersey, Florida and
California, and the historic Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida. His
first project in Dubai was announced in 2005, to be called The Palm Trump
International Hotel & Tower.
In
a departure from his real estate acquisitions, Mr. Trump and the NBC Television
Network are partners in the ownership and broadcast rights for the three
largest beauty competitions in the world: the Miss Universe, Miss USA and
Miss Teen USA Pageants. He is also the star and co-producer of the hit
television series, The Apprentice, which has received national and worldwide
attention. In the summer of 2004, his radio program on Clear Channel made its

Robert T. KiyosakiAuthor of Rich Dad Poor Dad and the Rich Dad book series
Robert
Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad Poor Dad — USA Today’s #1 Money
Book for two years running and the international runaway bestseller — is an
investor, entrepreneur, and educator whose perspectives on money and
investing fly in the face of conventional wisdom. He has, virtually
single-handedly, challenged and changed the way tens of millions, around the
world, think about money.
In
communicating his point of view on why ‘old’ advice – get a good job, work
hard, save money, get out of debt, invest for the long term, and diversify –
is ‘bad’ (both obsolete and flawed) advice, Robert has earned a reputation
for straight talk, irreverence, and courage.
Rich
Dad Poor Dad
ranks as the longest-running bestseller on all four of the lists that report
to Publisher’s Weekly – The New York Times, Business Week,
The Wall Street Journal, and USA Today – and has held a top
spot on the famed New York Times list for over five years. Translated into 46
languages and available in 97 countries. The Rich Dad series has sold over 26
million copies worldwide and has dominated bestsellers lists across Asia,
Australia, South America, Mexico, and Europe. In 2005, Robert was inducted
into the Amazon.com Hall of Fame as one of that that bookseller’s Top 25
Authors. There are currently 13 books in the Rich Dad series.
Robert
writes a bi-weekly column – ‘Why the Rich Are Getting Richer’ – for Yahoo!
Finance and a monthly column titled ‘Rich Returns’ for Entrepreneur
Magazine.
Prior
to writing Rich Dad Poor Dad, Robert created the educational board
game CASHFLOW® 101 to teach individuals the financial and
investment strategies that his Rich Dad spent years teaching him. It was
those same strategies that allowed Robert to retire at age 47. Today there
are more than 1,600 CASHFLOW Clubs – game groups independent of The Rich Dad
Company – in cities throughout the world. Born and raised in Hawaii, Robert
Kiyosaki is a fourth-generation Japanese-American. After graduating from
college in New York, Robert joined the Marine Corps and served in Vietnam as
an officer and helicopter gunship pilot. Following the war, Robert went to
work in sales for the Xerox Corporation and, in 1977, started a company that
brought the first nylon and Velcro ‘surfer wallets’ to market. He founded an
international education company in 1985 that taught business and investing to
tens of thousands of students throughout the world. In 1994 Robert sold his
business and, through his investments, was able to retire at the age of 47.
During his short-lived retirement he wrote Rich Dad Poor Dad. In
Robert’s words, “We go to school to learn to work hard for money. I write
books and create products that teach people how to have money work hard for
them.”

Two men, one message... two men with different backgrounds, different experiences and different perspectives who are both passionate about education.
Both
authors are successful financially, and both are bestselling authors who could
easily have written separate books. They chose to join forces to offer two
voices on a subject that they believe is at the heart of the future of our
world
As
leaders and teachers, the authors' collective knowledge and experience is a
significant force when focused upon empowering others to take action and
responsibility for their financial well-being – and choosing to be rich.
A
portion of the profits from each book will be donated to charitable and
educational organizations that support financial education.
